It took only a day or two for him to bond properly with his foster sister (who is a much bigger dog), and now there is mutual affection, occasional cuddling, and many attempts by Benji to get her to play by nipping at her hind legs. :) Benji also likes to play with toys, especially chasing squeakers and chewing bones. Benji will sit, shake, and lay down for treats; hes working on expanding his skill repertoire, as well as on potty training. As long as its not terribly cold, Benji loves to go for walks. He is even getting better at not getting tangled in the leash, and he is working on his reactivity when he sees other dogs, bicycles, and occasionally people. Although Benji will not choose to go in his kennel, he generally does not make a big fuss, sometimes whining for a few minutes before settling down.   Benji made his way to Minnesota from Mesquite, Texas just in time for the first big snowfall of the season!! He was picked up as a stray and found to be microchipped; when contacted, his owners stated they could not care for him.  Overall, Benji is a pretty chill guy as long as he gets in a bit of play and outside time a couple times per day. He likely will adjust well to different types of lifestyles. He can be playful like a puppy and may prefer having a canine companion in the household. Benji is sure to bring lots of cuteness and cuddles to his forever home!! Adoption Fee: $450 Training Requirement:  None.
